Lyllyan Blare spent 28 years in a healthy, able body before becoming chronically ill with 2 very rare diseases. She’s slowly losing her ability to walk and use fine motor movement. This seemingly ‘tragic’ event has blessed her with a new outlook on life and a new purpose – to educate about and advocate for the disability community. Her passion is disabled parenting as she’s the proud mom of a little girl.
Lyllyan lives in Tennessee writing for her website, learning how to advocate at the congressional level and making plans to run for Ms. Wheelchair Tennessee! She writes for The Mighty and the Disabled Parenting Project, Walk N Rolling With Spina Bifida and has been published in a Canadian magazine for people with disabilities.
