I was born with Myelomeningocele Spina Bifida in the United Kingdom. Unfortunately for me, I was bullied all through grade school, high school and college. I was picked to take part in the special olympics. That opportunity made me a bit more confident and helped me to starting to accept my disability .
I've been to 5 different places with the special olympics and about to go to my 6th. I still get weird looks and people talking about me behind my back, but I just ignore them and get on with my life. I am me and i am never going to change.
I like hanging with friends and family. I also like going for walks volunteering the gym and ten pin bowling. I volunteer at my local cats protection and a place called “ The Learning Tree” which is a charity shop. They only sells books n cds and it's for people with learning disabilities to learn what it's like to work in a shop.
I hope for future a few things. I hope to get my own place at the minute in a supported accommodation. I also would like to get a paid job. My advice for those with a disability is to never let people bring you down. Don’t let anyone tell you you can’t do something. You can do anything you put your mind to. Dont let being disabled stop you.
