Halloween 2018

Ahh, Halloween. One of my favorite times of the year. The time for costumes,. treats, tricks, and spooky things. I love having some of my family over for food and old Halloween cartoons. So this year my younger cousin and I made some spooky treats to eat while we watch our favorite movies, some sweet and spicy sticky bat wings, dwarf ears (mini calzones), and graveyard cheesecake.

Sweet, Spicy, Sticky Bat Wings:


Chicken Wings Olive oil Salt Pepper Granulated Onion Granulated Garlic Cayenne Smoked Paprika Powdered Ginger

Sauce 2 Tbsp of Butter 1/2 cup of Sriracha 1 cup of Honey 1/3 cup of Soy Sauce (optional if you want a little saltiness added)

Directions Start off by preheating your oven at 400, season your wings to how you like, then bake for 30 minutes until done. In a saucepan, melt your butter then add your honey and sriracha and cook until well incorporated and thickened. Pour sauce into a large bowl then add your wings. Toss them in your sauce and serve while hot.

Mini Calzones

Ingredients: Pizza dough(recipe on SuperBowl Post) Cheese Tomato Sauce Favorite Toppings (we used pepperoni)

Directions: First, preheat the oven at 400, then cut your dough into small pieces, roll out onto a floured surface into pieces about the size of your hand. Next, you can start spooning a bit of the sauce, add some cheese and your other toppings. You can twist the ends close, I haven't perfected that yet but you can also use a fork to close them and get the cute pie crust look. Then you can bake them for about 10-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve with extra tomato sauce for dipping.

Graveyard Cheesecake


1 pkg of Oreos, cream removed and put aside 6 Tbsp melted butter 2 8 oz pkg of cream cheese, softened 3/4 cup sugar 1 Tbsp lemon juice 1 tsp vanilla extract Salt 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream


After removing the cream from the cookie, you can put the cookies in a bag and crush them with a mallet or something else that's heavy or you can use a food processor. In a bowl mix half of the cookie crumbs and butter until mixed well. Layer the buttered cookie crumbs in the bottom of a spring-form pan or dish. Spread them out with your palm, spatula or a cup so it reaches the sides of the pan. In a mixing bowl add your cream cheese, a bit of salt, sugar, vanilla, lemon juice, and the cream from the cookies and mix with a spoon, preferably a wooden one. After everything is mixed grab your hand mixer, start slowly adding your cream as you beat everything together until it's thickened slightly. Pour the mix into the pan and let it sit overnight. You can add the other half of the crumbs on top then decorate it however you like before you serve. My cousin decorated ours. It's creepy but cute and very delicious. ​
